Privacy Policy
Jinn ("we", "us") is a home-cook booking service operating in Mumbai, India, provided by Skadoosh Labs Inc, 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958, USA. This policy explains what information we collect through the Jinn app and website (app.bookjinn.com), why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details — your phone number and name, used to create and secure your account. Phone verification codes are delivered via Twilio.
- Addresses and location — the service addresses you save, including a map pin, so your cook can reach you. Address text may be processed with Google Maps services to validate and locate it.
- Booking details — visit times, duration, number of people, meal and food preferences, and any requests you send us.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of your payment and its amount; we never see or store your card, UPI, or banking credentials.
- Notifications — if you allow notifications, a device push token, used only to send you booking updates.
- Usage analytics — anonymous-by-default product events (e.g. "booking created") via Mixpanel, used to improve the app.
- Support conversations — messages you send our team (in-app, WhatsApp, or phone) so we can help you.
How we use it
- To deliver the service: match and dispatch a cook, share your first name, address, and food preferences with the cook assigned to your booking.
- To notify you about your bookings (confirmations and reminders).
- To collect payments and maintain accurate accounting records.
- To improve the product and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers that make Jinn work: Supabase (hosting and data storage), Razorpay (payments), Twilio (phone verification), Google Maps (address services), Mixpanel (analytics), and Apple/Google (push notification delivery).
Retention
Your account details stay with us while your account is active. Booking and payment records are retained as required for accounting and legal compliance, even after account deletion.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time from inside the app: tap the account icon on the home screen → Delete account. This permanently removes your login, profile, and notification tokens. You can also email us (below) to request deletion.
Your choices
- Notifications are optional — you can decline the prompt or turn them off in iOS Settings at any time.
- You can edit your saved addresses and preferences in the app.
Children
Jinn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
